Click the icon that describes your use pattern with ACCESS Online (internet banking) or the Mobile App:

  • If you have logged into Access Online &/or Mobile since September 1, 2017, then you are an EXISTING USER.
  • If you have NEVER used ACCESS Online or Mobile, or have not used or signed into ACCESS Online or Mobile since August 31, 2017, then consider yourself a NEW USER.
  • If you use our mobile app on your smartphone or tablet, consider yourself a MOBILE APP USER.
  • If you use Quicken financial management software, go to the Quicken icon.

Today, Monday March 12th, significant changes are coming to your log-in to ACCESS Online Internet Banking and the Mobile Banking app for CES Credit Union.

On Monday March 12th:

  • Starting at 2:00pm, you will be directed to log-in using the www.cescu.com website on an internet browser, such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Firefox. (This is for both Internet Banking and for Mobile Banking. Everyone must go to the traditional website for this step.)
  • You will be directed to select a new USER ID name and a new PASSWORD for your account. You will also be asked to select security questions and answers, and choose a new password reset question and answer.
    Detailed instructions will be available in our service centers beginning March 3rd. Easy-to-follow, step-by-step directions will be available online through our website. We will do what we can to keep this re-enrollment simple and painless. (Note: netteller.com and Jack Henry & Associates may appear in your browser. They partner with us to provide the service.)

Why is CES doing this?

Good question. We are taking steps to be pro-active to protect your account funds, as well as maintain your privacy and security. CES Credit Union spends significant time, experience and resources to thwart those trying to undermine the safety and soundness of the Internet Banking and Mobile Banking systems.

Without going into too much detail, here's some new features:

  • User ID will replace typing in your account number: This reduces the risk of "key-logging" malware- where hackers try to harvest your account numbers by tracking your keystrokes.
  • Personal Image will appear on your Internet Banking pages: An image you select will serve as a "watermark" on each page, so you know you are on the legitimate CES Credit Union pages, and not on a spoofed website.
  • Algorithms can trigger Personal Challenge Questions: When unusual activity might indicate fraud, you may be asked to answer one or more of the challenge questions you have chosen. For example, if you usually sign into your account on your laptop in Centerburg, Ohio, but 10 minutes after you logged in, another log-in is attempted on a mobile device in Oklahoma City, that's unusual activity that could trigger a challenge question.
     

 Plan on just a few minutes that afternoon or evening to properly set up your security questions, and to activate any new text or email notices you want for activity on your account.
