Ohio Country Acts Nashville Crush and Simba Jordan Band Highlight CES Credit Union’s Concert Night for the Community

Two of the top regional country acts in Ohio will be featured at the annual Concert Night for the Community hosted by CES Credit Union to be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024. This free and open-to-the-community event will take place at the Schnormeier Event Center at Ariel Foundation Park in Mount Vernon, Ohio. This will be the second time CES Credit Union has brought a free community concert to the venue.

Opening the evening and starting at 6:30 pm is the Simba Jordan Band, country music artists from Columbus, Ohio. The Simba Jordan Band has performed as the pre-party act for major artists including Garth Brooks, Jason Aldean, and Blake Shelton, and has played for audiences at the Buckeye Country Superfest. Jordan promises to bring a high-energy performance to the Schnormeier Event Center and perform songs that will bring people to their feet.

The headliner for the evening, and taking the stage at approximately 8:00 pm, will be Nashville Crush, a five-member band from western Ohio that “presents a perfect balance of Country and Rock music”. Known for their high-energy, award-winning stage show, Nashville Crush performs for audiences of all ages of people. For the past 16 years, Nashville Crush has been performing at some of the biggest clubs, festivals, and fairs in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and beyond and is known as one of the best live bands around.

“We are tremendously proud to bring these top regional acts to perform here and make it a free event for everyone. This concert is one way we can thank the community and our members for supporting the success of CES Credit Union for over 72 years since our founding in Mount Vernon,” said Sandy Coffing, CEO of CES Credit Union. A not-for-profit financial cooperative, CES Credit Union serves everyone that lives, works, worships, or attends school in eight Ohio counties including Ashland, Coshocton, Delaware, Holmes, Knox, Licking, Morrow, and Richland counties, with service centers in Mount Vernon,  Coshocton, Delaware, Loudonville and Utica.

James McLaughlin, Marketing Director for CES Credit Union said CES Credit Union is building on the success of last year’s concert event. “Last year we wanted to highlight CES Credit Union’s appreciation to the community in a fun and exciting way. Our concert with North to Nashville and Derek Posey in 2023 went perfectly and brought in a crowd that was ready to have some good, clean fun on a Saturday evening. This year will be just as fun, and we’ll keep building on that momentum.”

There is no charge for the event and the community is welcome to attend. Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged, with plenty of great viewing spots in and around the Schnormeier Event Center. This is a non-alcohol event.

John Schwab Entertainment assisted with booking the performers. Food trucks will be available at the venue, arranged by Knox Foodies. Parking is available in surface lots around the Schnormeier Event Center and in Ariel Foundation Park. The park is a brief walk south of downtown Mount Vernon.
