CES Credit Union is proud to announce our 2020 scholarship!

CES Credit Union will award $1,000 each to two winners of the 2020 CES Credit Union Scholarship which is available to members or member dependents for the 2020-2021 school year. This scholarship is for students currently accepted and preparing to enter their freshman year at an accredited two-or four-year college/university, and registering for full-time study.

Application Due Date:

Application packets must be postmarked by Friday, April 3rd, 2020. Membership will be verified before scholarship funds are awarded. Unsigned or otherwise incomplete applications or applications without required materials will be rejected by the panel of judges. Application packets will not be returned to applicants. The final two scholarship recipients will be contacted by the end of April.

The Application Form:

Application Materials include:

  1. An official transcript of grades for the most recent two reporting periods from the high school you are currently/last enrolled in.
  2. A video essay Video submission may be done via DVD, Flash-drive or a clearly listed YouTube address link. (Must  be 2-7 minutes in length.)  OR  A written essay (Must be a minimum of 400 words in length, typed and double-spaced.) Insert one copy of the essay in your application packet. Topics for video/written essay explained in scholarship application
  3. A brief summary: Including any and all extra curricular activities you have been involved in the last two years, key accomplishments you’ve achieved, your work history (if you have any), and what your career goals are upon graduating. (Please type your response on a separate,double-spaced page.)
  4. A copy of your U.S. Birth Certificate or U.S. Naturalization Certificate
  5. A letter of recommendation from a school counselor, business/community leader, teacher or religious leader. You must include the provider’s printed name, title and phone number.
  6. Student Profile questions must be fully answered and signed by you (If you are younger than 18, your parent or legal guardian must also sign the application.)
