McGuffey Lane and Allison Road bands to perform at Concert Night for the Community!

McGuffey Lane and Allison Road have been announced as the two regional country acts to take the stage at the Third Annual Concert Night for the Community on Saturday September 13th hosted by CES Credit Union. This event is free and open to the community, featuring some of the top regional entertainers in Ohio. The venue for the performance is the Schnormeier Event Center at Ariel Foundation Park, 201 S. Norton St. (next to the Rastin Tower) in Mount Vernon, Ohio.

Allison Road Band, starting at 6:30pm

Opening the evening is Allison Road, a female-fronted band from Springfield, Ohio that plays upbeat and current Country hits, with Rock, Classic Rock, and Pop for a good variety. Their original music, while maintaining a country feel, toes the line of all 3 genres and is written from the real-life experiences of frontwoman, Alli Sarven.

Performing since 2012, Allison Road has opened for Lainey Carter, Ashley Cooke, and Deana Carter and has won multiple music competitions including Best Band in Springfield (2022) and 92.3 WCOL Winner – Rt. 4 Farm Tour. They regularly perform in venues and street festivals across Central and Western Ohio including Summit Music Hall and PBR Cowboy Bar in Columbus.

McGuffey Lane performs at 8:00pm

One of the Midwest’s most popular bands over the last five decades, McGuffey Lane features original members John Schwab, Terry Efaw, and Steve Reis plus Molly Pauken, Randy Huff, and Kevin Reed. The band is known for exceptional musicianship and vocal harmonies on both their high-energy music and their beautiful ballads. Their live shows are always entertaining and, attesting to their popularity over the years, attract not only long-time fans but now even their grandchildren.

McGuffey Lane has shared a stage with many nationally known artists including the Allman Brothers Band, The Judds, Exile, The Marshall Tucker Band, Charlie Daniels, and Pure Prairie League. They were honored to open for Merle Haggard on his final tour.

The band has released several albums and has sold over 300,000 units since they signed with Atlantic Records. Their hit single, “Long Time Lovin’ You,” spent six weeks at number one on the charts and earned the band a much-deserved regional gold record.

CES Credit Union does remind attendees of a few details.

  • There is no charge for the event and the community is welcome to attend.
  • Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged, with plenty of great viewing spots in and around the Schnormeier Event Center.
  • At least four food trucks are scheduled to be present at the concert venue. This is a non-alcohol event.

“For the third year now, we are giving back to our community by bringing two of the top regional bands here to perform. Our concerts are free for everyone to attend and have become an annual tradition. It’s our way to thank the community and our members for supporting CES Credit Union.” said Sandy Coffing, CEO of CES Credit Union.

James McLaughlin, Marketing Director, said CES Credit Union is building on the success of the last two concerts.  “Our first concert was with North to Nashville and Derek Posey in 2023, and last year we had Simba Jordan and Nashville Crush. Everyone seems to enjoy the concerts, so we want to keep building on that momentum. Allison Road and the legendary McGuffey Lane will undoubtedly provide us with a fun performance.”
